Hi! I'm a biologist, neurophysiologist and machine learning scientist. I started out my career as a biologist working on high resolution cell-surface protein microscopy. I then gained experience in real clinical settings during my undergraduate thesis where I studied the impact of chemotherapy on whole brain glucose metabolism (a proxy for overall neural health and function). I received my PhD from Stanford University under the supervision of Dr. John Huguenard where I used in vitro and in vivo neural recordings, optogenetics, and real-time signal processing to monitor and intervene on epileptic discharges in rodents with genetic epilepsy.

I've now spent almost 8 years in industry where I've been leading computational strategy and machine learning initiatives in pre-clinical drug discovery settings, and more recently, clinical mental health research. I care as much about good software principles, modular data workflows, and well defined statistical and machine learning models as I do neurobiology and scientific discovery.

I'm always open to new connections. Don't be shy! While you're here check out my research.
